How incredible was the World Cleanup Day weekend? Two days, three clean-up rounds, four neighborhood partners with their districts, and a total of 106 participants cleaned up. We captured the experience on film in 103 seconds. Enjoy!
Stolen items were recovered and, fortunately, returned to their owners (the NABU (German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) got its sign back, and we were able to return an elderly gentleman's stolen cell phone). The "Most Silly Object of Nonsense" category was chosen. More than 7,000 cigarette butts were collected. Two of our volunteers received their Clean Up Trepnick baseball caps for participating for the tenth time. Once again, there were the most absurd finds, the most wonderful people from near and far, and simply a magical atmosphere and clean spaces afterward.
A huge, heartfelt thank you to our neighborhood partners for their organization: Leonie & Max, Enrico, Jenny, and Kim! Fantastic job! And of course, an equally big and sincere thank you to all the hard-working litter pickers for their love for the neighborhood and their perseverance. You are all amazing!
